Saskatchewan Library Week 2017

Deputy Minister of Education, Rob Currie presented SLA Executive Director, Judy Nicholson with the of October 15-21, 2017 as Saskatchewan Library Week.  He mentioned the theme, Libraries Matter, and the Book Spine Poetry Contest.  He also congratulated SLA and libraries in providing informational, cultural, economic, and recreational support in their communities. Dr. John Archer Library 50th Anniversary

Judy Nicholson, SLA ED, was at the Dr. John Archer Library at the University of Saskatchewan to congratulate the  Library on its 50th anniversary.  She acknowledged the legacy of the eight presidents that have come from the Archer staff as well as the many board and committee members.  The Dr. John Archer Library has provided service to the students, faculty, and community around the University of Regina.
