Continuing Education for library staff is a vital element of the SLA Mission. A work force that is aware of the trends in libraries and information is vital to excellent library service in Saskatchewan. SLA supports its members through its participation in the Education Institute, an initiative of The Partnership.

Education Institute

An important component of SLA’s membership in The Partnership is participation in the Education Institute. By developing sessions for a national audience and using the EI platform for the delivery of the sessions, SLA is able to support its membership through preferred rate registration. Education Institute consists of audio and web conferences as well as 4-6 week online courses.
