Saskatchewan Libraries Conference 2012

Celebrating Our Past, Embracing Our Future

The Program Committee for the 2012 Saskatchewan Libraries Annual Conference invites you to submit a session proposal for the 2012 conference to be held at the Ramada Inn from May 3-5, 2012 in Regina.  In recognition of SLA’s 70th anniversary, the theme of this year’s conference is Celebrating Our Past, Embracing Our Future.

We are asking you as colleagues and facilitators to develop and submit presentations or sessions that will expand our collective thinking and energize our communities.

Session formats can include the following:

Presentations, approximately 30 minutes in length with 30 minutes for Q & A. Sessions that are practical and interactive in nature are preferred.

“Spotlight On” sessions can feature 10 minute talks by a group of individual presenters.  Themes can include use of technology in the library, marketing initiatives, community engagement, unconventional use of library space & resources, readers’ advisory, etc.

“Hot Topics”:  Discuss a contentious issue in librarianship with your colleagues and a moderator.

If you have a proposal that does not fit into these formats, please contact us to discuss your ideas! Please submit proposals using the Abstract Submission Form 2012: slaprograms@sasktel.net

All session proposals are due on October 14, 2011

If you have any questions please contact:
