Governance and Duties of Director for Education

  1. Is elected for a two-year term during odd years (2001, 2003, etc.), which can be renewed, and is a member of the Board.
  2. Convenes the Continuing Education Committee.
  3. Solicits from the general membership and the Board of Directors topics for educational programs.
  4. Develops programs for the Education Institute.
  5. Is a member of the National Education Institute committee.
  6. Is responsible for the Mary Donaldson Award.
  7. Is responsible for circulating a press release to all the major provincial papers announcing the name of the awards’ recipients and the recipients’ accomplishments.
  8. The Director for Education shall recommend members to the Board to sit on the Continuing Education Committee.
  9. Reports to the Board at each meeting.
