Governance and Duties of Director for Membership

1. Is elected for a two-year term during odd years (2001, 2003, etc.), which can be renewed and is a member of the Board.
2. Convenes the Membership Committee.
3. Reports to the Board at every meeting.
4. Briefs the President and Executive Director on issues that may require approval of the Board.
5. Continues to develop and broaden the membership base of the Saskatchewan Library Association with the assistance of the Membership Committee and the Board.
6. Oversees the review of dues and fees of schedules.
7. Develops and implements a program of members review that will guide the Board on the needs of members and their satisfaction with services.
8. With the Director for Communications, is responsible for producing, and periodically evaluating, the SLA informational brochure and membership form to insure accuracy and effectiveness.
